At the JW Marriott, our design approach focused on elevating hospitality through sophistication, warmth, and a sense of effortless luxury. The challenge was to create a space that feels both grand and welcoming — a destination where travelers, locals, and guests can slow down, connect, and experience Austin through a refined lens.

Elevated Atmosphere Through Light & Material

Lighting became the defining element of this space, sculptural, warm, and intentionally layered. A custom ceiling installation diffuses a soft glow across the bar, creating movement and depth while highlighting the richness of the surrounding materials. By pairing metallic textures with warm wood tones, we created an atmosphere that feels refined yet inviting. The result is a bar that stands as a destination of its own, vibrant, cinematic, and unmistakably JW Marriott.

To make the homepage experience more relevant and engaging, we implemented personalized elements that adapt based on user behavior, preferences, and prior interactions. This approach aimed to create a sense of familiarity, encouraging users to spend more time on the platform and discover content that resonates with their unique needs.

Lighting as Visual Composition

For Noah Hawley’s production office, we crafted a lighting design that reflects the expressive, cinematic spirit of his creative work while elevating the architecture and storytelling embedded in the space. Rather than simply illuminating the workplace, the goal was to shape atmosphere creating moments of focus, collaboration, and visual rhythm that evolve with the pace of the day and the creative process.

Warmth Through Material & Color Temperature

To support the studio’s creative atmosphere where ideas are developed, conversations unfold, and stories take shape we specified a warm, layered lighting palette that complements the rich materiality of the space. Wood tones, textured finishes, and curated vintage pieces are enhanced through controlled color temperatures and diffused light sources that soften contrasts and reduce visual fatigue.

Creating Intimacy in Large, Open Areas

Within the production office, expansive rooms with high ceilings house a range of creative environments from a dedicated screening room and writers’ room to a curated film and television library, as well as areas where props and memorabilia (including pieces from Fargo and handcrafted puppets) become part of the spatial storytelling. These generous volumes, while architecturally striking, required lighting strategies that could bring a sense of intimacy and human scale to support focused creative work. At the same time, the design extends downstairs to 26 Keys Letterpress, where handmade cards and printed matter are produced reinforcing the studio’s culture of craft, narrative, and tactile storytelling across different creative disciplines.

For Statefarm, we set out to prove that commercial interiors can be polished, high-performing, and still have a bit of personality. Here, the brand’s signature red steps beyond the logo and becomes the pulse of the space—infusing energy into lighting, ceiling accents, and every visual cue. We paired honest materials with clean lines and warm textures to create an environment that’s both focused and unexpectedly playful. The result is a workplace that feels confident, efficient, and unmistakably alive.

The design transitions from reception into an environment shaped by focus, flow, and teamwork. Red ceiling accents guide the eye across the room, creating a sense of momentum that reflects the pace of a busy workday. In the break room, the design shifts into a softer mode, still aligned with the brand while feeling warm, approachable, and inviting. Natural wood tones and clean white surfaces balance the palette, creating a calm backdrop for conversation, coffee, and the small pauses that keep a workday moving.
